Additional Information
Henry and Maria Botting christened a daughter Maria on 27 Aug 1820, and a daughter Mary on 18 Mar 1822, both in Thakeham, Almost all of the subsequent documentary evidence for the Maria Botting of this record shows her born in or about 1822. It is assumed that the Maria Botting born in 1820 died before the age of 2, and that Mary Botting (1822) was named in Maria’s memory, thereafter using the name Maria rather than Mary.
