WCF - THE ACTS OF THE APOSTLES
Study Number 13: Acts 9 v 1 - 19a
7 May 1989
• He had many opportunities to believe in Jesus, but chose to reject Him.
• He didn't realise that what one does to Jesus' disciples one does to Jesus Himself.
• He was rapidly going further and further on the road to Judgement.
• He stopped Saul in his tracks.
• He gave Saul another opportunity to follow Him.
• He planned for Saul a wonderful future of service for Him.
• Saul fasted and prayed.
• Saul experienced the wonder of the Lord's forgiveness.
• Saul obeyed the Lord and became His disciple.
• Don't test the Lord's patience by disobeying Him.
• Be full of joy and confidence in the amazing love and grace of the Lord Jesus.
• Remember that whatever we do to the least of Jesus' disciples we do to Him.
• Make prayer, often with fasting, a central part of your life.
• Expect the Lord to guide you, sometimes in surprising ways.
• Decide never to question what the Lord tells you to do.
- Why did the Lord make Saul blind?
- The Lord could have healed Saul without using Ananias - why then did He send Ananias to Saul?
- Why did Ananias start off by arguing with the Lord?
