James served with the army in India and was awarded the 1884 India Medal with the 1888 Sikkim Clasp. James’ son, John Edward Eaton, died as the result of an accidental kick from a horse while working in Skegness. He was buried in Nottingham Road Cemetery, Derby. Later James Wheatley and Selina were buried in the same plot. |
