Eleanor married James Lane at Kentisbeare on 8 Feb 1821. He was a farmer, cultivating 20 acres of land. For many years, including 1841-1851, they lived at Pixy Pool, Kentisbeare. In 1841 Mary’s (illegitimate) son James lodged with them, and in 1851 Samuel’s son James and his wife Mary also had their home at Pixy Pool. |
