Additional Information It seems likely that Clare (1754) took over the ironmonger business in 1797 on the death of her husband, and was aided initially by their son, Robert. who died prematurely in 1805. It further seems likely that the chandlery shop run by Clara (1786) was a development of her mother’s ironmonger shop. |
