Additional Information

.Marmaduke and his wife Anne were both buried at St Andrew’s Church, South Otterington, by Newby Wiske, Yorkshire.

After Anne died in 1760 at Newby Wiske. Marmaduke married Elizabeth Ramshay on 9 Mar 1762 at Kirby Wiske. They had a daughter Jane in 1763 and a son John in 1765. John sadly died in 1766.

Like his brother James, William Willis moved to London and became  a vintner, apprenticed to Benjamin Frere, London, on 7 Dec 1768. Benjamin Frere was the proprietor of the Thatched House Tavern from 1765 to 1770 when James Willis took it over.
