Additional Information
Sadly John Bartholomew died when his four children were all less than five years of age. The four children benefitted from the will of their great aunt Ann Harris, who bequeathed to each of them £50 for their upkeep and education (equivalent to about £420 each in 2020). John’s wife Ann married again on 11 July 1777. Daughter Ann’s husband George Dolby (1759-1819) was a landowner and also a bricklayer.
