Dorothy Amy Olstead was born 29 May 1921, St Olave, and died on 9 Dec 1999, Croydon. Edward and Dorothy had three children: Kenneth (1950), Roy (1957) and Clifford (1958). Stanley Herbert Victor Newland was born 27 Apr 1901, Camberwell, and died in 6 Nov 1964, 3 Oaks Way, Carshalton. Mary and Stanley had three children: Peter (June 1934) and twins Brenda and Jeanette (Sep 1936). Charles’ baptism record states his birth date to be 23 Feb 1909. Ivy Rose Privett was born 23 Mar 1909, (death index mistakenly records 10 Mar) and died in Feb 1996, Croydon. In 1939 Charles and Ivy lived in Rye Hill Park, adjacent to Nunhead cemetery. They had two children: Brian (1939) and Charles (1943). Myfanwy Hughes was born 7 Aug 1913 in Holyhead, and died on 8 Mar 2003 in Horsham. John and Myfanwy had three children: David (1939), Ann (1943) and Martyn (1949). Florence (Floss) Annie Pearce was born 23 Mar 1915 in Southwark, and died on 3^rd Nov 2011 in Bossiney, Cornwall. James and Florence are both buried in Tintagel, Cornwall. They had two children: Patricia (1942) and Alan (1946) Joan Mary Emmett was born 6 Oct 1916 in Axminster, and died in April 1993 in Bournemouth. Bob and Joan had four children: Keith (1943), Roger (1945), Malcolm (1956) and Jennifer (1959). Bob and Joan later divorced and Bob married Barbara Joyce Crawford (nee Pettifer). Barbara was born 13 Dec 1937 in Bournemouth and died 4 Nov 2014 in Bournemouth. George Albert Thomas Hawkins was born 10 Nov 1922 in Southwark, and died on 28 Oct 1972, 54 Michael Faraday House, Walworth. Dora and George had four children: Janet (1944), Margaret (1948), Christine (1950) and Michael (1960). In 1976 Dora remarried to George Edward Beaven (1915-1982) in Sutton. Leslie John Buckingham was born 10 Jan 1921 in Epsom, and died on 22 Aug 2003 in Banstead, Surrey. Joyce and Leslie had four children: Sheila (1944), John (1948), Bruce (1950) and Jean (1958). Sadly Jean died in Nov 1963 aged 5 years. Leslie was buried in the same plot as Jean in Bandon Hill Cemetery, Sutton. At the outset of the 2^nd World War, in 1939, Edward was living and working in Bath, Somerset, and his wife Alice was living with her daughter Mary in Carshalton, Surrey. Nevertheless the Electoral Register still records their home as being 13 Penrose Grove, Southwark Records show that a high explosive bomb fell on or close to Penrose Grove between 7/10/40 and 6/6/41.
